This is the first of Pastor Rebecca's travels this spring - and here I am in sunny (?) San Diego. Em and I got here after an eternity of time in the air yesterday and were practically giddy by the time we arrived at the hotel. We were in bed by 10:30 (read as 1:30 a.m. NY time) and up at the crack of dawn.
We enjoyed an early breakfast and with the sun high in the sky, we headed off to the Fashion Valley mall. It pretty much sold everything that malls sell everywhere, but at least there was some warmth walking in the sun. We headed off to the world-famous San Diego Zoo about 11:30 a.m. and by the time we got there it was cloudy and somewhat cool. Nonetheless, it is an amazing zoo and we will tell you more about it tomorrow along with some uploaded pics.
